NYU maintains the authoritative guidance on how AI may be used in University work — acceptable use, what data may go where, which tools are approved, and how to raise a concern. This page points you at it rather than restating it, because NYU’s pages are the ones that get updated.
If you read only one thing, read the Acceptable Use Guidelines. They apply to everyone — faculty, staff, and students — and to both NYU-provided and third-party tools.
